But for the most part, Edge does a good job of keeping pop-ups at bay. If you’re looking for a more comprehensive solution, there are a few third-party pop-up blockers that can be installed. Edge will allow pop-ups to appear if you’re whitelisted a site or if you’re using a Microsoft account. There are a few exceptions to the rule, however. But for the average user, the pop-up blocker is a welcome addition. If you’re someone who regularly visits sites that use pop-ups, you may find this to be a nuisance. By default, Edge will block all pop-ups from appearing on your screen. But one area where Edge does excel is in its built-in pop-up blocker.
